As if an all-black cast didn't already have us frantic with excitement in anticipation of the "Black Panther" movie, rapper, Kendrick Lamar alongside his Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) family have been announced curators of the film's soundtrack, simply entitled "Black Panther". This follows a slate in the visuals for his DAMN. track "LOVE" released in December which read “B. Panther Soundtrack Coming Soon." clearly hinting at his involvement.

Cherry-picked by director, Ryan Coogler, Lamar who was already involved in the selection of the "black panther" album with his track -All The Stars -in collaboration with music It girl, SZA, as the soundtrack's lead single, will be even more so as he has been charged with curating the entire "Black Panther" album.

“I am honored to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film," Coogler said. "I can’t wait for the world to hear what Kendrick and TDE have in store."- Ryan Coogler

According to the Fader, this is Lamar's first time writing, producing, performing and curating music for a major motion picture. Needless to say that the Compton MC's delivery will be nothing short of spectacular.

"Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture," Lamar said in a statement. "I'm truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel's vision."- Kendrick Lamar
