The world knows Duro Olowu as a Nigerian-born British womenswear designer, but this year everyone will get to see another side of him: A guest curator at Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Chicago.
In Seeing Chicago, Duro curates and presents artworks that will help the attendees to see Chicago. The exhibition will feature works by not only local artists like Kerry James Marshall and Africobra members, but also foreigners that are connected to the city.

This will mark the first time the museum has invited a non–art professional to curate an exhibition.
As part of the exhibition, Duro and MCA Pritzker Director Madeleine Grynsztejn will also speak at a talk that will be held on the opening day, on February 29.
