The sudden cancellation of Art Stage Singapore last January might make some people question the future of the art scene in Singapore. Singapore Biennale 2019, though, is here to ensure everyone that it’s doing just fine.
For its 6th edition, the biennale will feature 77 artists and art collectives from Singapore, Southeast Asia and around the world. This year’s exhibition is titled “Every Step in the Right Direction,” which describes the biennale’s faith in the potential of art (and its understanding) to change the world for the better.
Singapore Biennale 2019 will run from November 22 to March 22, 2020.
