After dropping her six-song Passion Fruit Summer EP in November 2017, the up-and-coming Ghanaian R&B singer just unveiled a stirring visual for her single titled Fluid, serving more as an official introduction to her growing audience.
Shot in Accra, a rolled back Amaa Rae leverages on the allure of her sultry vocals as she is pictured soaked in a milky bath with flowers littered all around her, with just her crown in sight. The Fotombo-directed music video sees an eclectic melange of boldness and intimacy as well as a high contrast of color, adding much appeal to the near three-minute long clip.
Something about Amaa Rae with her head above the milky water, reemphasizing her feeling of fluidity (“I’m Feeling So/ Fluid/ Baby Let Go/ You Can Do It”), leaves an echo in one's mind. Not only does the song stick, the visual will have you transfixed.
