Fashion designer LaQuan Smith has dressed some of the most influential women in the world, including Beyoncé and Rihanna. But when Globetrotter met him backstage at the GTB Fashion Weekend 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria, he told us, "I'm not really impressed with myself." Despite his success, LaQuan admits that he still wants to see himself grow, and we can't wait to see where he's heading.

In the video, LaQuan shares with Globetrotter about the struggles he faced as an independent designer, the inspirations for his "unapologetically sexy" collection, ASOS collaboration, future undisclosed projects and more.
